RT Journal T1 OPtical imaging of brain function and metabolism JF Archives of Neurology JO Archives of Neurology YR 1998 FD July 1 VO 55 IS 7 SP 1026 OP 1026 DO UL http://dx.doi.org/ AB This edited volume represents the proceedings of the International Symposium on Optical Imaging and Metabolism held in Berlin, Germany, in May 1995. The book is devoted to developments in optical imaging of the brain, which is a functional neuroimaging technique in both human and experimental animal studies. The book deals with recent technical developments of optical imaging. The multiauthored book is divided into 5 sections: (1) signal sources in functional neuroimaging; (2) technical developments in near infrared spectroscopy of the brain; (3) application of near infrared spectroscopy for the functional assessment of brain and comparison with other functional neuroimaging methods; (4) coupling of brain activity and cerebral blood flow and functional neuroimaging methods; and (5) multimodal imaging of the human brain.
