Volume 16 of Clinical Neurosurgery representing the proceedings of the 1968 meeting of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons continues the extremely high level of material which has been the hallmark of the previous volumes in this series. The major thrust of this volume from a clinical point of view relates to intracranial arteriovenous malformations and aneurysms and the major contributors, including Charles Drake and William Lougheed as well as others, are all masters in the diagnosis and treatment of these lesions and their excellent papers with beautiful illustrations are of great practical assistance in the field.
The papers by the Congress' honored guest of 1968, Professor Normon Dott, are of interest and stimulation in terms of a thoughtful assessment of neurosurgery as seen from his vantage point as one of the most honored senior citizens in the field.
